Lexi<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Chief PIlot Wheezer<\/strong> (Aaron Ashmore<\/a>) is excited about the company’s new aircraft, so he temporarily takes over as pilot and flies Stef<\/strong> , the new girl from Toronto, and Lexi<\/b>, who recently qualified as a pilot, out to rescue Dale<\/strong> (Ryan Blakely<\/em><\/a>), who has been bitten by something. They were not told in advance that it was a snakebite, so they brought no antivenom. <\/p>\n

LEXI:<\/strong> “Why would anybody buy a pet that can kill them?”<\/em>
\nSTEF:<\/strong> “I don’t know. Isn’t it a little bit exciting being so close to danger? You’re a pilot. Isn’t your job dangerous?”<\/em>
\nLEXI:<\/strong> “Not if you’re doing it right. Pilots like things safe.”<\/em>
\nSTEF:<\/strong> “Or maybe you just haven’t been taking the right risks? You might find you like dancing with danger, First Officer Lexi.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Sydney<\/a>

Sydney Kuhne<\/a> as Stef<\/b> – Kuhne is also Lady Marion<\/b> in four episodes of Director X<\/a>‘s eight-episode science fiction adaptation of ROBYN HOOD<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n

On the way back to base, Stef notices that Jenny<\/em>, Dale’s pet coral snake<\/a>, has found its way onto the plane. Coral snakes are particularly deadly. Lexi uses tongs to toss the reptile out the cockpit window. <\/p>\n

Later, at the Whiskey Hatch<\/i><\/a>, Stef orders an Aperol Spritz<\/a> but has to settle for vodka, because bartender Nowak<\/b> (Thomas Elms<\/a>) doesn’t have the necessary ingredients. Lexi’s curiousity is piqued, and she gives the new arrival a wistful side glance, causing Nowak to suggest that Lexi should just introduce herself. Lexi shakes her head emphatically, and Nowak pushes it a little. “Lex, come on,”<\/em> he says. “You got two types, okay? You got lumberjacks and girls like that.”<\/em> Just then, an unnamed new waitress (Nicole Moller<\/a>) cuts her arm on a broken beer mug. Stef appropriates Lexi’s belt for use as a tourniquet and quickly takes care of the patient. “That was fast,”<\/em> says Lexi, and Stef responds: “I don’t think she was disappointed.”<\/em> <\/p>\n

\"Kheon<\/a>

Tristan<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Reese<\/strong> (Ryan Ali<\/a>), the guy who kissed Tristan<\/strong> (Kheon Clarke<\/a>) in the final episode of Season One, has transferred to Thompson permanently, and heads out with Tristan and Hayley<\/strong> (Natasha Calis<\/a>) to rescue a snowplow driver named Chuck<\/strong> (Robert B Kennedy<\/a>) who plowed into a tree while he was on the phone with his wife. Hayley tells Chuck he is having Transient Ischemic Attacks<\/em>, and that he definitely needs to see a doctor. As they prepare to leave the scene, they see blood in the snow, and discover that Chuck’s plow hit a skier before it stopped. Because he needs to keep his job, Chuck will initially deny any history of TIAs to avoid the legal complications of admitting he knew he was ill. The reason that Dale didn’t say he was bitten by a snake right away was because his reptile collection was illegal. This undue concern for legalities on the part of both patients could have caused each of them to die.<\/p>\n

\"Nicole<\/a>

The waitress (Nicole Moller<\/a>), who catalyzes the episode’s best scene. — Moller is also Donna<\/b> in Roxanne Boisvert<\/a>‘s thriller MY HUSBAND’S WORST MISTAKE<\/a><\/p><\/div>\n

Tristan’s first thought must have been that Reese transferred to Thompson to pursue a relationship with him, and it seems he kind of liked that idea. But when he discovers that Nowak and Reese are best buddies and it was Nowak who persuaded Reese to transfer there, Tristan gets over his reluctance to share Nowak’s quarters, but doesn’t mention the kiss.<\/p>\n

Lexi and Stef almost kiss, then Lexi says: “You know, that’s the thing about girl pilots. I worked way too hard. Too hard to just get distracted now. Even if I really want to.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Donor Screening Canada<\/em> contacts Bodie<\/strong> (Aason Nadjiwon<\/a>) and tells him he’s a match for a patient in Toronto who’s on a wait list for a kidney. Bodie is surprised to learn that the patient in question is a “close genetic relative”. Earlier, Madison<\/strong> (Emilia McCarthy<\/a>), tells him the cheque for his son Joel’s daycare bounced and suggests he might get money from his adoptive parents, and that’s something he doesn’t want to do. <\/p>\n

\"Thomas<\/a>

Nowak<\/strong> and Reese<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Surprises are the order of the day. When Crystal<\/strong> (Morgan Holmstrom<\/a>), who has begun studying medicine under Dr. Yana<\/strong> (Nadine Whiteman<\/a>), is asked if she’s heard from Jeremy<\/strong> (Braeden Clarke<\/em>), Crystal explains that “Jer’s in the bush; he can’t exactly call. He needed some time to clear his head, and that’s as long as it takes.”<\/em> Then she runs into Jerry at the hospital. It turns out he’s training as a paramedic and didn’t bother to tell her about it.<\/p>\n

The final surprise is provided by Chopper<\/strong> (Praneet Akilla<\/a>), who is supposed to be in astronaut training in Montreal, but instead is found nearby, seriously injured by an explosion. To further complicate matters, Sunita<\/strong> (Sarena Parmar<\/a>), shows up and identifies herself as Chopper’s wife.<\/p>\n
