Jessica's husband and brother-in-law switch bodies after a car accident. Directed by Simon Sandquist and Joel Bergvall. Co-starring Lee Pace and Michael Landes. Based on the 2002 South Korean film, Jungdok.

Christy Bella Joiner is uncredtied as a nurse. She also is uncredited as a nurse in VERONICA DECIDES TO DIE. Joyner is a classical pianist and supermodel as well as being an actor. She will play Charlie's Wife in THIS SIDE OF THE LOOKING GLASS, a film that Sarah Michelle Gellar was at one time in talks to do.
2004:A LIGHT KNIGHT'S ODYSSEY
Gellar originally was the voice of Rayna in this JPL/NASA educational science fiction adventure film, but in 2008 the script was rewritten to include discoveries made by the Cassini Huygens mission to Saturn, and Gellar was too busy to voice her character. She was replaced by Amanda Peet and the character renamed Ranger. The film was released 13 January 2010 with the new title: QUANTUM QUEST: A CASSINI SPACE ODYSSEY, and can be streamed on TUBI..
VERONIKA DECIDES TO DIE (2009) - Veronika Deklava
Gellar replaced Kate Bosworth in this film which was directed by Emily Young, co-starring Jonathan Tucker and David Thewlis.
Veronika attempts suicide, then wakes up in a mental hospital to learn that she has five days to live.

A drama based on an ancient Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional cornerstones: happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love. In a series of interrelated vignettes, a businessman bets his life on a horse race; a gangster sees the future; a pop star (Gellar) falls prey to a crime boss; and a doctor must save the love of his life.
Clark Gregg (Henry) was Ken O'Donnell in A WOMAN NAMED JACKIE.
TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) (2007)

Premise: 3000 years ago, an imaginative warlord discovered that every 3000 years a "constellation" aligns in just the right way to enable the opening of a portal to another "world". Probably he would have been an Assyrian, as they were the only conqueror types around in those days. Having read something in his ancient Babylonian history about this portal conveying a bunch of power on whoever opens it, he did so. As a result, his army (of 3001) was turned to stone, and 13 "monsters" came through the portal to earth. He was made immortal.
Meg and Dia Frampton wrote and performed the song "Roses" for the film. The Korean-American sisters are from St. George, Utah. The other three members of the Meg and Dia Band are: Nicholas Price, Jonathan Snyder, and Canadian guitarist Carlo Gimenez.
Kevin Smith (Dinner Cook) was Simon Theory in "Southland Tales".
The film played in 2,381 theatres in the US before being released on DVD. It grossed $15,589,393. The film can be purchased from Google Play.
HAPPILY NEVER AFTER (2006) - voice of Ella
Mean stepmother (Sigourney Weaver) tries to change the ending of Cinderella. Meanwhile, Ella (of the Cinders) is learning self-sufficiency, and questioning her "happy ending". Ella ends up marrying the dishwasher (Freddie Prinze Jr.) George Carlin was the voice of the Wizard. Wallace Shawn (Munk) was also Baron von Westphalen in "Southland Tales".
The film is available on DVD and Blu-ray.
THE RETURN (2006) - Joanna Mills
A traveling business woman begins to have nightmares about a murder that occurred 15 years previously. She returns to her hometown in Texas where her father (Sam Shepard) still lives. Soon she is drawn to an old farmhouse, where the murder took place.
With Peter O'Brien and Adam Scott. Director: Adam Sussman. Adam Scott (Kurt) co-starred with Gellar in the HBO pilot THE WONDERFUL MALADYS
THE GRUDGE 2 (2006) - Karen Davis
The Grudge with Catholic schoolgirls. In Tokyo, a young woman (Tamblyn) is exposed to the same curse that afflicted her sister (Gellar) in the first film. Kayako, the ghost from the first film, is still holding her grudge. She really doesn't want anyone coming to her house. When three schoolgirls do that, she follows one of them all the way to Chicago. Jennifer Beals, Arielle Kebbel co-star. Directed by Takashi Shimizu.

SOUTHLAND TALES (2006) - Krysta Lynn Kapowski/Krysta Now
Alternate reality as created by a time-shifted actor (Dwayne Johnson), and a time-shifted Iraq vet (Sean William Scott). Set in Los Angeles on July 4, 2008, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Gellar portrays Krysta Now, an adult film star developing her own reality television project.
The DVD is a shortened version of what was shown at Cannes. Perhaps someday the original cut will be issued. Dwayne Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Cheri Oteri, Mandy Moore, and John Lovitz. Directed by Richard Kelly.
THE GRUDGE (2004) - Karen Davis
Takashi Shimizu directed this remake of the Japanese horror film Ju-on. With Jason Behr, Ted Raimi, and William Mapother. An American nurse living and working in Tokyo is exposed to a supernatural curse that seems to induce suicide. For some reason this film is shot largely in hallways and stairwells.
Jason Behr (Doug) was Billy Fordham in BTVS. Clea DuVall (Jennifer) was Marcie Ross in BTVS. Yuya Ozeki, Takako Fuji, and Takashi Matsuyama, who play the Saeki family in this film, all appeared in Ju-on as well (in the same roles).The Director's Cut has some 15 extended scenes that contribute greatly to character development and suspense. Written by Stephen Susco.

Nochnoy Dozor (Night Watch), a film directed by Timur Bekmambetov, broke all box-office records in Russia. In the International version of the film Yegor (Dimitriy Martynoy) is seen watching the Buffy the Vampire Slayer episode "Buffy vs. Dracula". The clip that was used is the part of the episode in which Dracula introduces himself to Buffy.

HARVARD MAN (2001) - Cindy Bandolini
A semi-autobiographical account of director James Torback's experiences at Harvard in the 60's. Cindy is the daughter of a mob boss. Her main boyfriend is a star basketball player at Harvard. With Adrian Grenier, and Eric Stoltz.
Eric Stoltz replaced Matthew Broderick in the 1986 New York City stage production of "The Widow Claire" in which Gellar played Molly.
CRUEL INTENTIONS (1999) - Kathryn Merteuil
Kathryn bets sex against a Jaguar that her step-brother, Sebastian, won't be able to have sex with Annette. Modern version of Dangerous Liaisons.
Christine Baranski, Tara Reid, Sean Patrick Thomas, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe. Directed by Roger Kumble. Jim Jenkins (Mr. Caldwell) played a priest in BTVS (Lover's Walk).
SIMPLY IRRESISTIBLE (1999) - Amanda Shelton
Director: Mark Tarlov. With Sean Patrick Flanery and Patricia Clarkson. A department store executive (Flanery) tries to resist falling in love with a young woman (Gellar). The fates are against him, though, in the form of a talking crab, and a supernatural cabbie. The scene where the couple floats above the floor while dancing is reminiscent of a similar scene with Tara and Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Margaret Sophie Stein (Mrs. Meuller) was Corvina Lang on All My Children.
SHE'S ALL THAT (1999)

Billed as a modern version of Pygmalion. Eliza, instead of being an illiterate but charming cockney, is the mousey, bespectacled, and bookish Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook). Instead of educating the girl, our hero's design is to turn her into a prom queen.
Starring Freddie Prinze Jr. Matthew Lillard (Brock Hudson) was Shaggy in SCOOBY-DOO. Clea DuVall (Misty) was Jennifer in THE GRUDGE, and Marcie Ross in the BTVS episode "Out of Sight, Out of Mind". She's All That can be streamed on Paramount+.
SMALL SOLDIERS (1998) - voice of Gwendy Doll
With Robert Picardo. Toys gain a kind of intelligence after advanced military technology is used in their manufacture. This film could be viewed as being anti-war. One scene has a human character literally mowing down the apparently sentient commandos with a riding mower. Commando Elite voices by the original cast members of "The Dirty Dozen" Voices of the Gorgonites by members of SPINAL TAP. Christina Ricci also did some Gwendy Doll voices. Cheri Oteri (Zora Charmichaels in Southland Tales) is the voice of the Globotech Telephone Operator. The film can be streamed on Pluto TV.
SCREAM 2 (1997) - Casey "Cici" Cooper
A really funny spoof of the genre. Selma Blair, Cici's friend on the phone, was Cyane in one episode of Xena in 2000. One of the dancers, Sarah Christine Smith, was also a dancer in SOUTHLAND TALES. Wes Craven has a cameo as a doctor.
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER (1997)

Helen and the gang are in danger one year after their car hits a stranger whose body they dump in the sea. The film had an alternate ending that was used as a teaser trailer for the sequel. It won the Saturn Award for Best Horror Film of 1997. Patti D'Arbanville is Mrs. Shivers (uncredited). D'Arbanville got her start with Andy Warhol's "Flesh" in 1968. Johnny Galecki is Max Neurick. He is also Leonard Hofstadter in THE BIG BANG THEORY. (Gellar appeared in the series finale of that show.)

HIGH STAKES - (1989) - Karen Rose
Sally Kirkland and Kathy Bates. Directed by Amos Kollek.
A New York hooker (Kirlkand) tries to keep her daughter (Gellar) away from the clutches of the Mob. They are befriended by a yuppie stockbroker, who then finds himself a great deal more committed to helping them than he originally intended. A very good film. Were cars really that big in 1989? Great soundtrack.
FUNNY FARM (1988) - Elizabeth's student (uncredited)
Nicholas Wyman (Dirk Criterion) was Grant Booth in Swans Crossing.
In the 1988 Chevy Chase comedy, Gellar's uncredited role as Elizabeth's Student was completely excised from the DVD. The still below shows Elizabeth (Madolyn Smith) and her students from one of the deleted scenes. Gellar either is not facing the camera, (the child indicated by the purple arrow) or she is in the background over Smith's right shoulder (see enlargement below right). That's Diane Yang, Elizabeth's other excised student, with the pink bows in her hair.
CROSSROADS (1986) - (uncredited)
With Ralph Macchio, Joe Seneca, Jami Gertz. A music student in New York breaks his jazz hero out of jail and heads for Mississippi. Some great guitar work by Steve Vai and Ry Cooder. Harry Carey Jr. (bartender) was Mutino in CROSSBOW.
The clipping on right is apparently from a promotion of the Globe Theater production of Jake's Women in San Diego in 1990. The image is a screenshot of the clipping shown during a Jules Asner interview with Gellar in 2002. In the clipping, Gellar's film appearances to date are listed, the latest being "Crossroads". This must refer to the 1986 film with Ralph Macchio and Jami Gertz.
The film was released on 14 March 1986, about a month before Gellar's 9th birthday. The 80's Movie Rewind, has this quote about deleted scenes from Crossroads, but no author is listed: "One of the scenes deleted from the movie was the church scene. When the three main characters walked in while the choir was singing, I was only 9 years old then and I was sitting in front of Ralph when they were seated."

Elliott Gould fights tradition and his own indecisiveness to win Margaux Hemingway. There are two memorable scenes in this film. First, Carol Kane attempting to seduce Elliot Gould, and second, Gould's highly emotional confrontation with his Uncle Benjamin (Sid Caesar). Sid Caesar is the best part of this film, which can be streamed on TUBI.
