There were four types of dolls: Dance Party, Slumber Party, Rock Concert, and Hangin' Out. Not every character had all four types of doll. There was, apparently, a Garrett Booth Dance Party doll. On the back was Swans Crossing Society News. John Troy "J.T." Adams was the only other male Swans crossing character to have a doll.
Michael Lynn P. wrote on the blog DIARY OF A DORKETTE on 7 February 2012 about the Swans Crossing doll: "Playmates has been responsible for many great toylines in the history of the world. I know most people think of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or The Simpsons as the go-to toy lines from Playmates, but Swans Crossing will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the best toy lines ever made with a glitzy charm."
A theory that Swans Crossing was conceived by toymaker Playmates as a means of selling, not only Swans Crossing dolls, but other toys as well, seems to have disappeared from the web. Some people theorized that when the Swans Crossing dolls did not do well, the show was cancelled. Others thought that the dolls were a money pit that bankrupted the production. While it was on the air, a significant amouont of its advertising revenue came from toy companies, and Swans Crossing dolls were advertised during the show.
