Set in 2052 in the same universe as the original series, ORPHAN BLACK:ECHOES will premiere on AMC, AMC+, and BBC AMERICA on 23 June. Jaeden Noel will play Lucas Miller-Manning, whose last name likely comes from Eleanor Miller (Rya Kihlstedt) and Kira Manning (Keeley Hawes), the grown-up daughter of Sarah Manning. Kristen Ritter is Lucy. In Episode one: “When Lucy’s quiet life in the countryside is violently interrupted by forces from her past, she must escape to the city with her new chosen family to find answers, only to meet a familiar young woman who begs even more questions.”
John Fawcett, co-creator of the original series, told Louise Griffin of Radio Times that the spinoff is a very different show. “If you go with the expectation that you’re going to see Orphan Black,” he continued, “you’re going to probably be disappointed. It’s got its own feel, it’s got its own identity…there’s a bit of a slow burn to it. I think it’ll be exciting for fans to discover.”
In Australia, ORPHAN BLACK: ECHOES can be streamed on STAN.
