Carson MacCormack (Trystan in episode 7 – “Lips”) is Trace Casper, twin brother of Grace Casper, in THIS IS NOT A TEST, Adam MacDonald‘s adaptation of the 2012 novel by Courtney Summers. As the story begins, Sloan (Olivia Hold) is in the bathtub proofreading her suicide note when her abusive father (Jeff Roop) calls her for breakfast. Sloan is rescued from her suicidal tendencies when Zombies overrun the neighbourhood. She flees the house and shelters with the Casper twins and two other students at their high school. Chad Collins of Dread Central calls the film “handsomely made”, and goes on to say: “This Is Not a Test’s most upsetting moments never even involve the undead. Instead, they tread into the realm of abuse, death by suicide, and all the other heavy things that hurt, whether the planet is besieged by monsters or not.” The film can be streamed on AMC+.

Jana Morrison (Astrid Bell in 10 episodes) is Ellie’s best friend Lauren Nicholls in HOW TO LOSE A POPULARITY CONTEST, a romantic comedy directed by Stephan S Campanelli that follows Ellie Pearse (Sara Waisglass), a manipulative overachiever who tries to get her ex-boyfriend Rowan to come back to her by persuading fellow student Nate (Chase Hudson), whom she calls a “human hot dog with no redeeming qualities” to run against him for Student Body President. At the start she doesn’t like Nate at all, but feelings develop. Written by Dorian Keyes and Kaitlin Reilly, the film can be streamed on TUBI.
Morrison is also Lynn in the Hallmark romance I’LL BE SEEING YOU. which was filmed in Victoria, British Columbia, and can be streamed on Hallmark+.
Christina Orjalo as Nathalie and Eric Fleising as Val in the 2025 drama ‘Older Every Day‘
Christina Orjalo (Valerie Long in 8 episodes) is Brisbayne, a thief with a heart of gold, in DEATHSTALKER, Steven Kostanski’s legacy sequel to the 1983 original. In this one, the former knight called Deathstalker (Daniel Bernhardt) steals an amulet from a battlefield corpse, finds out it’s cursed, and goes on a quest to find someone who can read the amulet’s inscription. Oscar Goff, writing for Boston Hassle said: “Kostanski has genuine affection for this material, embracing it because of its cheesiness. Bernhardt and Orjalo make exactly zero attempt to disguise their contemporary speech patterns (‘I am so soar-y!’ Brisbayne at one point pleads in her Clearly Canadian accent), but they also never give the impression that they’re above the material.” The thief in the 1983 film was Salmaron, and was played by Augusto Larreta. The original Deathstalker can be streamed on Shudder TV. DEATHSTALKER (2025) can be streamed on AMC+.

Kolton Stewart (Tate in 8 episodes) is Alex in the Lifetime thriller WHAT SHE DIDN’T TELL ME. Pharmacist Laura Harper (Genelle Williams) and her daughter Maisie (Eden Cupid) move to a small town for a fresh start. One of Maisie’s classmates ODs at a party, and Laura’s suspicions are aroused when she notices vanishing prescriptions and forged paperwork. Then she learns that her predecessor disappeared. Meanwhile, Maisie finds comfort with an anonymous internet contact called Angel. Written by Jessica Landry and directed by Amy Force, WHAT SHE DIDN’T TELL ME premieres Sunday 26 July at 8/7c on Lifetime and can be streamed the following day.
Olivier Renaud as Fred Walker in Gabriel Allard’s horror/fantasy ‘Snow Angel‘
Olivier Renaud (Brutus in 10 episodes) is Franky in Michael Gabriele‘s dark comedy UNHOLY NIGHT. As the story opens, Gino (Mark Bendavid) is about to have a pleasant Christmas Eve celebration with his family, when Gino’s dead grandmother shows up unexpectedly and goes on a killing spree. Others in the neighbourhood, including Gino’s ex-girlfriend Renee (Shaylene Garnett), also have dead relatives return, and one suspects some dark family secret might be responsible. According to Cheeze Drama’s review, viewers should expect “creepy atmosphere, intense suspense, graphic horror sequences, supernatural mystery, and surprisingly dark humour throughout.” UNHOLY NIGHT will premiere at the 2026 Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal on 25 July at 7pm and will screen again 27 July at 11:45pm.

Noah Perchard (Bradley in 5 episodes) is Anthony’s stoner friend Mitch in MAMA’S LITTLE MURDERER. Single mother Constance (Sara Canning) is trying to pursue a relationship with Leo (Ian Kilburn) but is continually thwarted by her jealous and obsessive son Anthony (Isaac Kragton), who doesn’t actually kill anyone, though he does make a half-hearted try at killing Leo. Director Andrew Parkes presents Dane K Braun’s screenplay in a non-linear way that fixes the audience’s attention on a tale that is more character study than anything else. Alexis Koetting (Lilly’s mother Pam Fortenberry in 4 episodes) appears in the film as the Dean of Students at Anthony’s school. MAMA’S LITTLE MURDERER can be purchased from Amazon Prime Video.

Ma-Ann Dionisio (Astrid’s mother Helen in 4 episodes) is Tita Carmelita (Sari’s aunt) in RECIPE FOR ROMANCE an adaptation of the Harlequin novel “Sweet on You” by Carla de Guzman. Sari is left in charge of the family coffee shop when her parents go on vacation. At about the same time, Gabe (Alex Mallari Jr) opens a bakery next door. Clashes follow in the days leading up to the Little Manilla Festival, until Sari and Gabe realize that the bakery and the coffee shop do not necessarily conflict and might actually compliment each other. Directed by Kelly Fyffe-Marshall, RECIPE FOR ROMANCE can be streamed (in Canada) on Crave TV.

A man named Brutus appears to them and explains that to close the rift they must collect ten body parts from creatures from the other side. If they fail, humanity will suffer.
