Rosamund Pike as Elspeth Catton in Emerald Fennell‘s dark comedy ‘Saltburn’
Rosamund Pike (Moiraine Damodred in 24 episodes) is Veronika in NOW YOU SEE ME, NOW YOU DON’T the second sequel to Louis Leterrier‘s 2013 movie “Now You See Me“. Three young magicians (played by Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Justice Smith) impersonate The Four Horsemen using deepfakes and holograms. Their goal is to drain the wallet of a corrupt cryptocurrency exchange owner and share the stolen funds. They are approached by the foreman of The Horsemen (J Daniel Atlas played by Jesse Eisenberg) who recruits them for a mission to steal the world’s largest diamond from South African diamond heiress Veronika Vanderberg (Pike). Directed by Ruben Fleischer, NOW YOU SEE ME, NOW YOU DON’T is currently in theatres.
Pike also co-stars with Benedict Cumberbatch and Sir Anthony Hopkins in Guy Ritchie‘s upcoming black comedy WIFE AND DOG. Not much is known about the plot, except that the “relentless greed of the Firbank family” is involved. According to Film Threat some scenes were filmed at Sandown Park Racecourse. WIFE AND DOG is expected to be released on 23 October.
Sophie Okenedo as Nomad in the 2023 spy thriller ‘Heart of Stone’
Sophie Okenedo (Siuan Sanche in 7 episodes) is Callie’s mother Helen in MOUSE, a coming-of-age drama directed by Kelly O’Sullivan. Best friends Callie Bell (Chloe Coleman) and Minnie Dunn (Katherine Mallen Kupferer) are about to start their senior year of high school in 2002 Arkansas when a sudden and tragic event disrupts their lives. “As the two central characters, Okonedo and Mallen Kupferer are the obvious highlights,” wrote William Stottor in Loud and Clear. “The latter keeps the whole film pinned together, delivering charismatic, layered acting of suppressed emotions and teenage confusion. The former is magnetic as Helen, giving us a character that could crack at any time, and at many points does.” MOUSE had its world premiere at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival. Madeleine Madden as Violca in the Australian dark fantasy series ‘Tidelands’
Madeleine Madden (Egwene al’Vere in 24 episodes) is fitness trainer Alanya in Natalie Erika James‘ sci-fi horror feature SACCHARINE. Midori Francis stars as Hana, a lovelorn medical student who, believing she is extremely overweight (she isn’t) signs up for a twelve-week transformation program with Alanya. At the same time, an old school friend recommends to her a new and very expensive weight loss pill called “The Grey”. When Hana has the pills analyzed she finds they are composed mostly of human ashes, so to avoid the expense, the medical student manages to create a homemade version of the drug using burned parts of a cadaver, but its side effects are considerable. Filmed and set in Melbourne, Australia, SACCHARINE had its world premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Madden is also Trish in “La Diabla en Ruedas” (The Devil on Wheels) an action thriller about a motorcycle racer looking to avenge the death of her sister. Directed by Frank Molina and Michael Toribio, “La Diabla en Ruedas” is currently filming in the Dominican Republic.
Fares Fares as George Fahmy in Tarik Saleh’s ‘Eagles of the Republic’ expected to be released on 17 April.
Fares Fares (Ishamael in 10 episodes) is Elias Charbel in Lars Lundström‘s TV series “Vi kommer i fred” (We Come in Peace). When an immense object of unknown origin appears over Stockholm causing widespread panic, biologist Zandra Kraft (Evin Ahmad) realises it may be humanity’s first contact with alien life. She joins forces with with crisis expert Elias to reassure the public and deal with the threat of military intervention. A six episode first season premiered on Sweden’s TV4 last November. “Vi kommer i fred” can be streamed on TV4 Play.
Natasha O’Keeffe in ‘Whitetail’
Natasha O’Keeffe (Selene in 14 episodes) is Jen, a Ranger overseeing forested areas in southern Ireland, in WHITETAIL, written and directed by Nanouk Leopold. Years ago, a hunting accident took the life of her younger sister, and Jen still feels guilty about it. When Oscar (Aaron McClusker), the only other person who knows exactly what happened that day, returns to attend a wake for his mother, Jen’s nightmares intensify. Megan Loucks of In Session Film praised cinematographer Frank van den Eeden: “Each moment of the film is masterfully shot, using the environment around him to his advantage.” she wrote. “Faces are found framed by branches, the scent of death lingers under Jen’s nose, and bushes help to disguise eavesdroppers. It’s his work that makes this film a multi-sensory feast.” WHITETAIL was released in The Netherlands on 5 March.
Zoë Robins in ‘Workmates’
Zoë Robins (Nynaeve al’Meara in 24 episodes) is Nina in WORKMATES, a film directed by Curtis Vowell, and inspired by screenwriter Sophie Henderson‘s time working at Auckland’s Basement Theatre. Henderson stars as Lucy, who co-owns a tiny underfunded theatre with Tom (Matt Whelan). When an accident threatens to shut the theatre down, Lucy realises she would do anything to prevent that and keep her friendship with Tom, with whom she might be in love. Filmed on location in Tamaki Mkaurau, Aukland, WORKMATES can be purchased from Apple TV in Australia and in New Zealand.
Donal Finn in ‘Young Sherlock Holmes’
Donal Finn (Mat Cauthon in 16 episodes) is James Moriarty in Guy Ritchie‘s mystery series YOUNG SHERLOCK. This origin story of Sherlock Holmes is set in 1870s Oxford and Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) is an “anarchic adolescent” who finds himself unpleasantly entangled in a murder case. Matt Fowler of IGN wrote: “Finn’s Moriarty actually winds up being the freshest and most riveting part of the series, despite the concept of Sherlock being BFFs with his future nemesis in a quasi Professor X/Magneto way.” Filmed in Cardiff, Wales, YOUNG SHERLOCK can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
Donal Finn in ‘The Other Bennett Sister’
Finn is also Mr. Hayward in THE OTHER BENNETT SISTER, a series based on the novel of the same name by Janice Hadlow. The events of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice are seen from the point of view of Elizabeth’s younger sister Mary Bennett (Ella Bruccoleri). Then Mary leaves for London and becomes romantically involved with Mr. Hayward. Writing about the novel, Janice Moody called Hayward a “Mr. Tilney type” and compared Mary Bennett to Catherine Moreland. A May release is expected, and the series will stream on BritBox in North America and on BBC iPlayer and BBC One in the UK.
